Horses Horses Horses!

This weeks Saturday in the Townhall crafting session was inspired by the War Horse film (on show in Townhall tomorrow Sunday 6th January, screened by the Penicuik Cinema). The preparation for today's session was done by Andrea

who is very keen to also raise funds for an orphaned Pony!

Andrea and her family and friends prepared horse templates for flat dry felted 2D horses (see picture above) or horsey pictures. To prepare for a craft session is a great way for a child to share her enthusiasm, knowledge and skills with the wider community. And Andrea has lots and has been the champion of Making Space Penicuik for more than 2 years now!!

New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone!

Very slowly only are we re-emerging from our midwinter hiatus.
Still have not managed to update our blog here properly, so apologies are due to all who  have been visiting looking for recent updates. We manage to post them on facebook better!

As you can see from above picture of our new wee program, we made some changes to our town hall Crafting in the Community routine: we will be there 2x a month now, and link themes with cinema and season. Hope you enjoy coming along!

There will be a new after school block of sessions: "Treasures of the Sea" and we are  starting to take bookings now. Either via this blog, facebook or via Jenni's mobile.

We hope also that we can report son that we still have a Penicuik Community  Arts Centre, and then will update our blog here accordingly. For today: hope to see you there:
