Felting fun

Making Space was a bee-hive of activity last Saturday at the Town Hall.

My first creation, age 6

Loving the texture of wool, age 2

We had new visitors of varying ages, repeat visitors and those that hadn't been for a while who wanted to participate. So it was a busy craft area!

Ready for definition

We continued to make further items for our future Story-scape Sessions. And since we are focussing on a maritime theme - fish, crabs and jellyfish were created.

A change from the blue

Excitement & enthusiasm
Further work continued on our fabulous sea-scape. We also finished our sea-loch landscape and both together give us more scope for 'placing' our tales.

Of course, we also encourage you to experiment and create something that appeals to you. All creations are encouraged; come along and have a go!

We are looking forward to creating new and adadpting older stories for the children on Friday afternoons.

Jenny worked on the little boy, called Jackie Piper, and templates for a castle and a boat were trialled out for our Friday Story-scape Session. This Friday our stories are Puff, The Magic Dragon and the Sunshine story, with some more songs, accompanied on guitar, too.

Puff is being magically felted into being by Sarah and it will be exciting to see his entry on the big stage! Can you imagine what he will look like? There's much speculation.

The princess is coming along. What a difference from the life-less skittle shape she used to be!

 A Princess is coming

See you for some stories, songs and fun this Friday 20th, from 2 p.m. at the Penicuik Library.
